This project comprises a series of calligraphy-based works intended to evoke a sense of craftsmanship and appreciation for the process in an era dominated by speed and efficiency.
Craftsmanship, such as calligraphy, has become less common with the advent of technology, which provides faster alternatives. While human error is often deemed unacceptable in the pursuit of perfection, in craftsmanship, mistakes and imperfections are embraced as they establish a human connection between the works and the audience. Moreover, the process of creation is where development occurs, and it is crucial to highlight it, as it represents a history of results and is sometimes more significant than the outcome itself.
The project is divided into two parts. The first part features a series of letterings of the word 'ระ หวา่ ง ทาง' ('along the way') executed on different surfaces and in various sizes to demonstrate the versatility of handwritten works in this era and how their visual impact can be altered through different mediums and styles. The second part consists of a scroll of handwritten calligraphy accompanied by a real-time video of the writing process. This part serves as a metaphor for individuals who choose to go against the current
trends, such as practicing calligraphy. The metaphor likens them to climbers who deliberately avoid shortcuts, opting instead to climb the mountain themselves. This represents the value of repetitive practice, where one encounters struggles, undergoes development, and realizes that the result lies in the process itself.
