Leave, for Love

This interactive visual mapping will introduce the experience of ‘love’ in another aspect and leave the room for the visitors to consider whether this kind of ‘love’ is meant to be a romance of one’s life if this relationship turns out to be ‘the cycle of abuse in relationships’.

The project aims to illustrate the emotional journey of dwelling in the relationships with intentional and non-consensual abuses or assaults, based on the true story of those who have overcome abusive relationships, so that the visitors could gain better understanding on how abusive relationships violate ones’ basic rights and expectation in having a secure and loving relationship that ones deserve or long for.

I hope my project shall be a part of the voices to deliver a message against abuses and violence in relationships occurring in this society and encourage the public that our expectations, dreams, and selves are what should be loved, taken care of, and shall never get ruined by abuses or violence in every romantic relationship. So that the cycle of abusive relationships shall be broken and alleviated in the future.
