From the past to the present to the future, the remains and the memories of what happened yesterday shape the individuals into who they are today. The ground that we step on is full of traces of history that form the current society we live in. What about the unresolved conflicts? Are they still here as well?

On the Surface of Tomorrow is a short film project about memory and trauma. The story is about the protagonist who ponders the memories she has of her deceased mother. She begins having dreams after returning to the old house, leading to a reminiscence of the relationship with her mother. She questions why her mother left, but then looks back at herself who made the same decision to leave the place as her mother. Is she repeating the same mistake?

Have we forgotten something or someone?
