The Spiritual Pursuit of Shokunin is a journey of self exploration by practice of paper craft. Shokunin’s philosophy believes that “If one becomes an artisan with a Shokunin mindset, the Shokunin mindset will act as a professional and moral compass, one rewarding persistence and commitment.” Through the delicate techniques that transform paper into 3D objects by folding, curving, bending, cutting, gluing, and layering, the artist attempt to put himself as a designer in the shoes of Shokunin, in order to acquired perfection through repetitive practice.
