A documentation of the current situation at Champ boxing magazine printing factory while nearing it’s closure as the sales of magazine plummeted. As well as exploring the inner-working of Champ magazine and the relationship people have to the magazine.
This short documentary aims to portray the situation at Champ boxing magazine, a magazine factory currently on a downfall. Champ boxing magazine is Bangkok best selling weekly magazine operating for over 18 years, however in the current age the magazine has lost its charm while newer generations prefer online media the instantaneous news source that is slowly killing the magazine business that only the older generation appreciate .
While nearing the closure of the factory I want to explore different people connected to the company with many of the employees working for over a decade, the attachment these people have to the factory is undeniable. Furthermore there are more stakeholders such as book stall owner, stadium owner and veteran boxer.
