’We Found’ is a documentary film derived from my experiences living in Bangkok for 9 years. Koreans tend to obey social rules and sacrifice freedom in order to have a successful life. They know that living a successful life is not everything, and it doesn’t help one be happier and freer. However, a number of people tend to stay in place without challenging that view because any changes might mean they would lose everything that they have accumulated.
This film is produced to encourage people to challenge that view, to give them courage and opportunity, and to remind them what freedom and happiness is.
A Korean man who had a hard time in Korea decided to stay in Thailand to be happier and a better person. Although he has achieved his goal and became freer in Bangkok, he could not get clear reasons what made him freer and happier. To resolve the question, He decides to collect the clues by listening to other Koreans who have already opened the next chapter of life in Bangkok.
